Tyler’s senior pictures!

Great subject! Great location! Great weather!
Can’t ask for much more! Tyler did an in-studio and Summit Lake session. I love the more extreme locations and Tyler definitely took full advantage!

My great friend, Zack.

This entry is just a little different and, certainly, a rare form for me to display on my business blog. But I really feel this video Zack has created is one that should be watched and absorbed by everyone. Photographer or no.
I have the tremendous honor of being able to call this man a dear friend. He and I have spent many a late night hour talking about our photography and our businesses. Our dreams and goals and hopes for the future of our trade. We’ve discussed cameras and lenses and lights and models and poses and profits and losses.
But my most memorable conversations with Zack? They are always the ones that wander into the more personal territory. When we begin to open up about our lives, and our children, and our hopes and dreams for our individual futures. When we sit down and share with each other how honored we are to be able to do what we do, not because it is photography. Rather because it allows us to live.
Zack recently made this video for the great Scott Kelby’s blog.
Please take some time to follow the link and soak in what Zack has to say.
Blog entry found here.
The original music is created by Zack’s lovely wife, Meg.
You’re in my thoughts, my friend. Thank you again and again for the genius you bring to our profession. And thank you for the love you bring to our friendship.

Jeff & Claire’s wedding in Anchorage, Alaska!

February 11th, 2009

The first wedding of 2009. Claire and Jeff had a beautiful wedding, complete with –16º F temps. The cold weather gave us that fabulous light I love to work with in the winter time!
The reception was held at the Bill Sheffield Train Depot in Anchorage, Alaska.
I wish you both many years of wonderful memories together!

Kelsey is so cute!
Her pictures were done a while ago, but they deserve to make an appearance on the blog. I loved this session!

Kelly was a joy to shoot. From beginning to end we had fun together.
We shot in the studio and Kelly chose a custom location, at her house.
Awesome images from beginning to end!
