Megan’s senior pictures!
Megan’s session started in the studio, progressed to downtown Anchorage and finished off at Beluga Point!
We had a blast from beginning to end and the collection of images are nothing short of pure awesomeness!

The latest hiking trek took us to Dew Mound Trail in Eagle River at the nature center. The Eagle River Nature Center has quite a few trail heads that lead all through out the valley and beyond, in the Chugach. If you haven’t ever explored this area, make it a point to do so! The trails range from nice strolls to more intense, multi-day hikes into the mountains. All of them provide great views and loads of fun! Dew Mound is a newer trail and one I’d not hiked before. I’m definitely putting it down as a favorite and will probably hike it one more time this year.
Dew Mound is a 6 mile trek through the forest, around boulders left by the receding glacier, out to Dew Lake, over to Dew Mound itself (a HUGE boulder and lots of fun to play on), down to Eagle river and back onto the Iditarod trail which will take you back to the nature center. A great hike with lots to see!

The trail is pretty narrow and most of it is hard to locate, but if you keep your eyes open you’ll see the trail markings on the trees. Just follow the markings and you’re gold.

A couple miles of the hike is riddled with boulders left over by the glacier. Benjamin happily volunteers to demonstrate the size of one such boulder we found.

The required picture-in-a-tree I try to nab whenever the opportunity arises. This particular tree fit me and both children inside. But this image is just me and Benjamin.

Until next week!
Dylan came in recently for his senior pictures.
He kind of rocked it!
