I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for about a year. I first met Kara and Justin last summer when they booked me and we did a couple engagement sessions together (one in studio and one at Hatcher Pass). Their day arrived and, just as I expected, was filled with love, laughter (SO. MUCH. LAUGHTER.) and perfection from top to bottom.
I loved it!
Two days after Justin and Kara’s wedding, we headed out once more for a Day After Session in Anchorage and the Valley. A Day After session is a special session set aside just for the bride and groom after their wedding. We spend the day capturing images (and locations) there just isn’t time for on the actual wedding day. This gives us lots of extra time to play and really work that wedding dress to its full potential!

Blake and Abigal are, in a word, wonderful! I loved every moment I’ve spent with these two, and having the chance to meet and hang with their family and friends on their wedding day was a dream!
These two made the most awesome decision to hire Karla DeLong to coordinate their wedding. I’ve worked with Karla quite a few times over the years, and every wedding I’ve ever seen her produce has been completely unique and stunning. This one, of course, was no different! The ceremony was held at the beautiful rose gardens off of 9th and the reception was in the Captain Cook Hotel.
Blake and Abigal told me that they were up for anything on their day. They allowed me complete creative control over their images. And I LOVED that! I took my job very seriously and hauled all of us to downtown Anchorage where we made a small trek on Kincaid trail to find some great shooting locations. Not one complaint from anyone!
It was awesome!
Diana & Tyler were married in Anchorage, with the reception at the Captain Cook hotel. The atmosphere of the whole day was fun, relaxed and filled with joy!
Diana & Tyler are surrounded by wonderful friends and family. Being able to celebrate this day with them, and capture the events and emotions of the day was a true honor for both myself and Lauren.
