Lindsey and Travis were meant to be.
That’s what their friends and family reminded me all day on their wedding. Friends for many years, it just made sense when they started dating. And the wedding, well, it was obvious the wedding had been anticipated by many for a long time. The celebration was QUITE a party for these two and I couldn’t be more proud to have been a part!

A’lise & Dylan enjoyed a gorgeous Saturday for their wedding. They were married on A’lise’s family property, a dairy farm which has been an icon in the Valley for generations.
These two began the day by seeing each other first and we were able to spend quite a bit of time together, wandering around the fields making images before the ceremony. The extra time alone helped to calm nerves and relax A’lise & Dylan before the festivities of the rest of the day.
I don’t think this wedding could have been any more perfect. A gorgeous bride and groom, wonderful friends and family, great weather and such an ideal location all came together to create sweet moments for this couple. And I was happy to be along for the day.

I shot Ty & Laura’s wedding years and years ago! It was so nice to see these two, up from Florida for the wedding, and get a chance to meet their baby girl.

The day dawned bright and chilly. Not a cloud in the sky. I was super excited for this outdoor wedding at the end of February on the lake in Wasilla.
Tanya and Jeremiah opted for outdoor photos (smart choice!) before their ceremony. We headed to Palmer to get some images with the mountain scenes in the background. Right around the time we arrived in Palmer, the WIND arrived with us! And with that, those comfortable 17ºF temps went plummeting as the wind chill gave a new meaning to the term FREEZING. The dry snow pelted us like little bits of hail and everyone huddled together for warmth between shots.
Honestly, we could not have had a more fun time! Sure it was windy (understatement of the decade, right there), and cold, but this was a group ready to party and enjoy the celebration of Tanya and Jeremiah! So celebrate we did!
I think this wedding is such an excellent example of just going with the flow. No need to get hung up on the weather because I will always promise you this one thing… however far you’re willing to go for images, I’m always willing to go just a little bit further.

Kyle and Molly had a beautiful winter wedding earlier this month. The skies were a little gloomy, but this had us all rejoicing because it meant no sub-zero temperatures! We trekked outside onto Big Lake for some fun (and photography!) before the wedding and continued our party right on through out the day.
These two were so relaxed and excited to get married, their enthusiasm rubbed off on everyone around them and I think it really shows in their images!
Winter weddings are a blast to shoot!

Teddy & Alyssa had a sweet wedding in Palmer, Alaska. The day was filled with so much love!
These two couldn’t take their eyes off each other all day and the joy that surrounded them was absolutley infectious.

We’ll get back to seniors soon. I promise!
But first, I want to take us back a couple months to a very awesome wedding I had the privilege of photographing. Natelie is a pillar in my studio who I could not do with out. Her sarcasm has me in stitches daily, she has an uncanny ability to understand what I need before I ask, and she can read between the lines and figure out what needs to be done before it needs doing. In short, Nat is one of the very special people in my studio who make my job easier and I don’t want to think about going to work every day with out her there.
Natelie is the second employee who’s wedding was planned and executed while working here (the first was Melanie, who met, dated, got engaged and then married all while under my watch!). I have to say this really makes us experts on the whole wedding planning thing, and I encourage ALL of our ‘Picture Lady brides to use and abuse our expertise and opinions. Believe me, we have them!
This blog entry is going to be picture intense. But hey, it’s Natelie, and she deserves every bit of it!
I love you girl, and I’m so happy to have found you when I did. You make me smile every. single. day.
*And Aaron, you’re awesome too! I see Nat’s love for you in her eyes and I know you make her so happy!
