AJ and Chelsea’s wedding at Settler’s Bay Resort in Wasilla, Alaska

January 8th, 2013

AJ and Chelsea are completely in love. There is just no other way to describe these two crazy kids. They are filled and overflowing with adoration for each other. This love shown on their faces through out their wedding day. It surrounded them in the hearts of their friends and families. I was swept up in the celebration of this love through out AJ and Chelsea’s wedding day. It was a grand party filled with fantastic people!

Tim and Lily’s wedding in Anchorage, Alaska

January 3rd, 2013

Tim and Lily were very brave souls. They chose to have their wedding in December, OUTDOORS. Of course when they told me their plans, I was only too excited to join them on their day. I love outdoor weddings, and winter weddings have a very special place in my heart. The day was very cold, –10ºF cold (you’re reading that right, minus ten degrees Fahrenheit!). But the cold temps only made the day that much more memorable for all involved.
A beautiful wedding filled with love, lights, and laughter. You certainly can’t ask for more in a wedding day. :)

Bill and Holly’s wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada

December 28th, 2012

I’ve known Bill for almost as long as I can remember. We grew up together, went to school together, even went to the Homecoming dance together our senior year of high school (remember what a big deal those dances were in school?). We’ve done our best to keep in touch over the years, some years we did a better job than others. But even still, whenever we had the chance to meet up, it was always like time hadn’t gone by… so far… so fast.
I think that’s the definition of the very best friends one can have in her life.

When Bill called to tell me that he and Holly were getting married, I was completely honored to agree to shoot the wedding for them. The fact it was going to be in Vegas wasn’t even a selling point because that’s just the kind of friend I am. (I’m totally lying here, the fact Bill’s wedding was in Vegas was THE selling point!)

The above image is extra special, as it’s testimony to friendships that are truly standing the test of time.

Special thanks to my dear friend, Mike, for coming to Vegas and helping me with this wedding. Without his help, I would not have been able to take some time and enjoy Bill’s wedding as his friend, as well as his photographer.

Chris & Liz’s wedding at Otter Lake Lodge on JBER

October 29th, 2012

I’ve worked with Liz’s family for years and years. Liz was a senior of mine, once upon a time, and her brother just rolled through the studio for senior pictures of his own not too long ago.
When Liz’s mom, Kirsten, came to me asking about wedding photography, I knew it’d be a fantastic day.
The day was made extra special by the snow that fell, and extra warm by the love that surrounds this precious couple.

Ryan & Lauren are engaged!

October 13th, 2012

This cute couple will be getting married next summer, surrounded by beautiful summer colors. Of course, this meant that an engagement session would be PERFECT in the vibrant autumn colors of the season.
The weather absolutely did not cooperate (as has been the theme of Fall 2012). But that was okay, we took what the weather gave us and made some pretty great stuff!
