Celebrating all things Alaska! Melissa travels from Talkeetna to Girdwood (and everywhere in between) with her seniors to create the very best location portraits around!

These sessions revolve around one of Melissa’s favorite subjects… Kids! Kids with their parents, kids with their sisters and brothers, kids by themselves. Big kids, little kids, funny kids, serious kids. There’s a little bit of everything to enjoy here!

Melissa’s high-key kid sessions are well-known and loved through out Alaska. Here is a selection of some of our favorite White images with some of our favorite kids.

Sarah & Aaron were married on Matanuska Glacier with their reception at Majestic Valley Lodge. We made the 25-minute hike to the ceremony and spent some time creating fantastic images on the glacier before heading to the lodge for an Alaskan inspired reception.

Toby & Megan held their wedding ceremony at Our Lady of the Snows. After the ceremony, we wandered all over the woods of Girdwood for portraits before heading to the reception at Crow Creek Mine. That evening we headed off to the creek itself to take full advantage of Alaska’s fantastic midnight sun.

Will & Jess celebrated their wedding at Alaska Heavenly Lodge. We met early in the day and created portraits along the Kenai River. After our portrait time, we headed back for an outdoor ceremony and reception, complete with halibut caught by the bride and groom!

This precious wedding included details from Violet’s Athabaskan and Tlingit heritage to honor her rich ancestry in Alaska. Steve & Violet were married at Taste of Alaska Lodge with their reception at Pike’s Landing Lodge.

This spectacular wedding at The Captain Cook Hotel included many elements from Kara’s Filipino heritage. Kara & Justin opted to include a Day After session in their coverage which included portraits at Beluga Point, the boardwalk at the wetlands, and Matanuska River.

This wedding at Sunset View Resort enjoyed the summer sun and deep blue of Big Lake. Bryce & Michelle had a fishing theme to their wedding with outstanding details, bold colors, and lots of smiling faces!

James & Amanda held their ceremony and reception at the Orca Lodge. After the ceremony we scooted off for a couple hours to take advantage of the rustic beauty that is the town of Cordova.

Clint & Gina had a glorious island wedding with lots of portraits all over the island. This couple celebrated their wedding at Waimanalo Bay on Oahu, HI with a reception on the top balcony at the Ashton, overlooking Waikiki at sunset.

This wedding began early in the day with portraits created all around Seattle. Then it was off to Magnolia Viewpoint Bluff for the ceremony and finally the reception at The Pike Brewing Company. Matt & Rachel created fantastic details and décor to create a celebration geared toward their personal style.
