Melissa Laggis Photographer is located across from Colony Middle School in Palmer, 40 minutes outside Anchorage, Alaska.
My studio portraits are created in an indoor and outdoor studio (weather pending) on my property. My studio is equipped with varying backdrops, lighting and furniture I use to create timeless images.
My location portraits are created in a variety of spaces through out the Mat-Su Valley, including Hatcher Pass, Knik River, Matanuska River, Matanuska Lake, Talkeetna Mountains, and your own back yard!
I also travel through out Alaska and Outside for dog portraits. I've worked with clients in Canada, Washington, Oregon, Texas and Missouri. And clients in Kenai, Fairbanks, Anchorage, and Seward.

The Vision

Melissa Laggis Photographer is a boutique studio offering beautiful portraits for your home and heirlooms of your beloved dogs for your family.
The photographic art you place on your wall is the sum of the vision of the photographer, the environment, the lighting, even the mood and personality of the dogs at the time of the session.
Custom photography is ultimately about choice, experience and finding a professional who takes the time to get to know your dogs and your needs, giving you full, undivided attention without worry of who is next β€œin line,” or the feeling of a crowded portrait studio.

The Experience

Melissa Laggis Photographer offers outstanding portraiture and unparalleled service. All of my images are fully edited, color corrected and retouched as needed. My primary goal is to keep you and your dog's total experience in mind.
Your custom portrait experience will include the following:

  • a pre-session consultation to create a plan for your dog's portrait session
  • a full portrait session at my studio or on a specific location of your choosing
  • up to 30 portrait images for your safe-keeping

Session lengths vary, depending on location of the session. The needs and comfort of your dog will also dictate session length. But typically, sessions run between 1-2 hours.
Melissa Laggis will provide treats and toys to grab and keep your dog's attention. But if you have anything special that your dog can't live without, feel free to bring it with you to your session!
