When Puppies Get a Mind of Their Own: Learning the value of recall

These three hoodlums found an adventure in one of the snowbanks in the front yard. When we counted puppies coming in from outside play, we only counted six. We counted again and sure enough, only six!
My son went outside and found these three engaged in epic snow play, completely ignoring the whole rest of the world!
Teaching a good recall is one of the first things I do with the puppies. Today, as we opened the door to let the puppies come back inside of their own accord, that recall training came in very handy. The three puppies who opted to stay outside immediately turned and ran right to Ben as soon as he gave them their recall word.
Good job, sweet little pups!
